In this video, we take a look at how to create a custom Artisan command that will assist us when installing the project locally or on a new server. When using Voyager, all of the settings are stored on the database making it difficult to sync local changes to your server. It would be nice if Voyager had an “export” command, but it does not. Our Artisan command will take care of syncing our database with all of our settings. We then make use of this Artisan command on our server, where we run a CRON job to reset the data on a daily basis.
Take a look at the GitHub repo/readme, as it’s been updated with step by step instructions on how to get this project running locally.
